For 15 years, the Pepin Distributing Company and United Cab Company have worked together to operate Alert Cab, which provides free rides to people in Hillsborough County who are too drunk to drive.
During April, however, United stopped sending taxis to the University Area Hangout (UA), claiming that guests as well as bartenders and servers were abusing the service.

The South Florida baseball team (26-24, 11-13) scored six runs in the top of the ninth inning and went on to get a vital 9-2 win Sunday against No. 21 St. John's (39-11, 18-6).
The win keeps the Bulls above .500 and ties them for seventh place with the Villanova Wildcats (27-23, 11-13) in the Big East.

This spring, Bright House Networks re-structured their channel listing. One UT student is not happy with their removal of BET.
The student, who wishes to remain anonymous, called ResLife multiple times and was referred to Bright House, as ResLife said they could not handle the problem.

The Kansas City Chiefs had the best draft this year. Drafting Glenn Dorsey creates automatic defensive production and team leadership. After trading away defensive end Jared Allen, the Chiefs needed a strong defensive presence, and used their fifth pick wisely with Dorsey.

As he drew the sideways triangle on the white board, I began to take in the significance of it all. I started to understand the drawings, the symbols, everything he was trying to convey to us in my beginning drawing class.
"This symbolizes the mountain close to my village in Vietnam," said Hoang Van-Bui, an adjunct art professor at UT, as he pointed to the triangle.
